CentaurBase Centaur Genome Database

The mythical Centaur is a model system for hypothetical genomics and genome informatics. This database includes data from all species of the genus, yet the primary species are C. argos and C. argonaut because of the broad set of genomic tools that have already been developed for these taxa.

A complete sequence of the Centaur argos genome should be made available in the year 3004 by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Mythical Genome Institute (MGI) in collaboration with the National Mythological Foundation (NMF) and the Centaur Genomics Consortium (CGC).
